UAE to Unveil Major Overhaul in Government Service Delivery Next Month

Sheikh Mohammed announces upcoming event to reveal significant changes in UAE government services.

UAE to Unveil Major Overhaul in Government Service Delivery Next Month

The United Arab Emirates government is set to introduce its most significant transformation in service delivery, according to Dubai's ruler and Vice President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed revealed that the details of this major change will be shared during a significant event scheduled for next month.

Highlighting the country's leadership in digital government services, Sheikh Mohammed referenced an international survey conducted by consulting firm BCG, which ranked the UAE first in customer satisfaction with government digital services.

He noted that, unlike global trends, over 75 percent of respondents believe that government digital services in the UAE surpass those offered by the private sector.

The UAE government has been actively enhancing its services through technological advancements, including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to boost efficiency. Earlier this year, Sheikh Mohammed announced a plan for AI agents to manage half of all government services within two years.

In August, the UAE introduced a unified framework for designing government services powered by Agentic AI. This framework includes standards such as avoiding repeated requests for previously submitted information, keeping users informed throughout the process, and ensuring data privacy and security.

Additionally, a senior official from the Ministry of Finance indicated last month that the ministry is investigating the use of Agentic AI to simplify procedures, aiming to reduce the number of steps required for both customers and government employees.
