Sheikh Mohamed Raises UAE Flag at Qasr Al Hosn for Flag Day 2026

On Tuesday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan raised the national flag at Qasr Al Hosn to commemorate UAE Flag Day 2026.

The event featured a national anthem performance and was attended by 55 distinguished individuals from diverse sectors, symbolizing the 55 years since the formation of the United Arab Emirates.

The presence of these accomplished participants highlighted the leadership's dedication to promoting excellence, nurturing talent and creativity, and acknowledging their contributions toward the nation's development and future aspirations.

Reflecting on the nation’s progress, Sheikh Mohamed stated in a social media post that the UAE’s people are its greatest asset and the foundation of its strength and pride. He emphasized confidence in the ambitions and determination of the population to continue driving the country’s prosperity.

The 55 attendees expressed pride in joining the President for the national occasion, and group photographs were taken to mark the celebration.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, also shared a message on Flag Day, expressing pride in the nation’s achievements and pledging to keep the UAE flag flying high. He prayed for the protection, unity, and enduring glory of the country and its people.

UAE residents and citizens were encouraged to raise the flag at 11 a.m. on November 3, the annual date designated for UAE Flag Day. This observance was established in 2013 by Sheikh Mohammed and coincides with the anniversary of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan assuming the presidency on November 3, 2004, following the passing of Sheikh Zayed. Sheikh Khalifa served as the nation’s second President until his death in May 2022.
