Dubai Launches First Outdoor Workspace at Al Barsha Pond Park
Dubai Municipality unveils the emirate's inaugural open-air workspace, blending work and nature at Al Barsha Pond Park.
Dubai Municipality has inaugurated the emirate's first dedicated outdoor workspace at Al Barsha Pond Park, creating a new environment where residents and visitors can work, conduct meetings, and engage with others amidst natural surroundings.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with AMANA Group and Letswork, integrates flexible work areas with recreational amenities, offering an alternative to conventional office settings and supporting evolving work lifestyles.
The project aims to transform public parks into versatile community hubs that facilitate a balance between professional tasks and leisure activities in an outdoor setting.
By introducing innovative facilities tailored to shifting work habits and community requirements, the municipality seeks to boost the utilization of Dubai's public parks.
Mohammed Ahli, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department at Dubai Municipality, described the launch as a significant step in enhancing the role of public parks, aligning with the authority's broader plan to provide innovative experiences that satisfy the needs of both residents and visitors.
The initial flagship site features modular workspaces designed with sustainability in mind and harmoniously integrated into the park's natural environment. The municipality plans to roll out similar spaces in additional parks across Dubai throughout the year, expanding this concept further.
Introduced in April, this project reflects Dubai's ongoing efforts to improve quality of life, foster flexible working conditions, and optimize the use of public spaces.
