Etihad Rail has reopened ticket reservations for its passenger train services departing from Dubai, with operations set to commence on September 30. The service offers direct connections to Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, with fares beginning at Dh39 for Abu Dhabi and Dh29 for Fujairah.
Travelers departing from Dubai will board at Al Yalayis Station, located in Jumeirah Golf Estates. This station provides convenient access to the Dubai Metro Red Line, bus routes, taxi services, and ride-hailing options. It also features 265 parking spaces, including five designated for electric vehicles.
Ticket Prices and Train Schedules
For the Dubai to Abu Dhabi route, Comfort class tickets start at Dh39, while Premium class fares begin at Dh109. On September 30, there are five direct trains scheduled, each with a journey time of approximately 1 hour and 4 minutes. Departure times include early morning, afternoon, and evening slots, with Premium fares varying slightly for the midday service.
Return services from Abu Dhabi to Dubai mirror the schedule and fare structure, with five direct trains also lasting 1 hour and 4 minutes.
Regarding Dubai to Fujairah travel, a single direct service is available on September 30, departing at 1:57 pm and arriving at 3:07 pm. This journey takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Comfort class tickets start at Dh29, and Premium at Dh89, though fares fluctuate on different dates, so passengers are encouraged to verify prices for their specific travel days.
The Fujairah to Dubai service on the same date departs at 11:54 am and arrives at 1:04 pm, with similar fare options.
Station Facilities and Connectivity
Al Yalayis Station operates daily from 5 am to 11 pm and is described as Etihad Rail's gateway in Dubai, linking the emirate with Abu Dhabi and other destinations. The station is equipped with multiple amenities including Wi-Fi, ticket vending machines, waiting areas, a family lounge, first aid facilities, retail shops such as WHSmith and Starbucks, food outlets, restrooms, a prayer room, and dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones.
Connectivity to Dubai's public transport is facilitated by a transfer bridge to the nearby Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line, located approximately 1,000 meters from the station. The metro runs from just after midnight until 11 pm.
