Heavy Rain and Hail Impact Fujairah as UAE Weather Cools in November
Fujairah experiences heavy rain and hail amid a nationwide drop in temperatures as November weather shifts in the UAE.
Several areas in Fujairah were struck by heavy rainfall and hail on Wednesday, November 4, marking a continuation of the UAE's transition into cooler weather for the winter season.
This recent precipitation follows earlier showers recorded just three days prior in Fujairah's Masafi and Diftah regions, as well as in Sharjah. Last month, rain also fell in parts of the country, creating scenes of camels walking along wet roads and children gathering hailstones.
The UAE Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted increased cloud cover and rainfall throughout November. The agency warned that rain intensity is expected to rise due to the development of dense clouds, which may also bring fresh to strong winds accompanied by dust or sand.
Videos circulated online, including those shared by the UAE Storm Centre on X, captured hail pellets falling in Fujairah locations such as Dadna, Sharm, and Dibba. These clips also show vehicles navigating through heavy rain, with some motorists reducing speed before entering tunnels.
On November 4, rainfall was reported exclusively in the northern emirate of Fujairah. Meanwhile, temperatures across the UAE have been declining, with the lowest recorded temperature reaching 16.4°C at 5:15 a.m. on Jais Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah.
