Dubai's New 80km Fourth Highway to Reduce Travel Time by 60%

Dubai is set to introduce an 80-kilometer Fourth Corridor highway that will significantly reduce travel durations between key emirates. The new route is designed to connect Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, offering motorists a faster alternative for their journeys.

According to project details, the highway will be constructed in two phases. The initial phase is expected to serve approximately 600,000 people, while the second phase will cater to around 3.1 million residents.

Travel time reductions on this corridor are substantial. For example, one segment of the route will decrease a 35-minute drive to just 14 minutes. Another section will cut a 50-minute journey down to 24 minutes, representing a 60 percent reduction in travel time.

This infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance connectivity between the emirates and improve traffic flow, benefiting daily commuters and easing congestion on existing roads.
