Etihad Rail Sets Rules for Passenger Conduct and Removal Procedures
Etihad Rail outlines passenger guidelines, penalties, and removal policies to ensure safety and order on trains and stations.
Etihad Rail, the UAE's major rail project connecting the seven emirates, is preparing to expand its network with the upcoming opening of Al Yalayis Station in Dubai. Alongside this growth, Etihad Rail has introduced a Passenger Charter that details conduct guidelines and penalties for violations.
To maintain safety and security, Etihad Rail staff conduct random security checks at stations and have the authority to request passengers to leave trains or stations under certain circumstances. For example, passengers playing audio at excessive volumes may be asked to disembark at the next station or to lower the volume, use headphones, or stop using the device altogether to avoid disturbing others.
Passengers believed to be intoxicated or carrying intoxicating substances may be asked to leave immediately and barred from entering or remaining on the train or station until deemed fit. Similarly, individuals in an unfit or inappropriate condition, or whose clothing might damage or soil Etihad Rail property or others' belongings, can be removed.

Enforcement and Consequences
If a passenger refuses to leave when requested due to breach of rules, Etihad Rail personnel or authorized individuals may use reasonable force to remove them. Before removal, the nature of the breach will be explained in general terms.
Repeated travel without a valid ticket can lead to a ban from all Etihad Rail services. Valid tickets must show the correct date, time, passenger name, and must not have been previously used.
