Dubai Police Train Security Guards at 35 Schools on Traffic Safety Measures

Dubai Police have completed a series of training sessions aimed at enhancing traffic safety awareness among security guards at 35 schools across the city. More than 140 security personnel participated in the program designed to improve their ability to manage traffic flow and ensure student safety during busy school hours.

Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, emphasized that the initiative underscores the department's dedication to fostering collaboration with educational institutions and boosting the preparedness of security guards in handling traffic-related challenges.

He noted that the training provided participants with the necessary skills to address minor traffic incidents effectively, which helps facilitate smoother traffic movement and elevates safety standards around schools.

The workshops covered a range of topics including the identification and management of various types of traffic accidents that might occur within the school environment. Participants were also instructed on how to report incidents using the Dubai Police smart application, "We Are All Police."

In addition to theoretical knowledge, the training included practical exercises simulating real-life traffic accident scenarios. Guards were guided on how to regulate traffic during peak drop-off and pick-up times, recognize traffic signs and regulations, and ensure the safe boarding and disembarking of students from school buses.

Furthermore, the program provided instruction on initial response protocols for traffic and security emergencies, enabling security guards to act promptly and professionally until official authorities arrive at the scene.
